Technology

New TCA extraction technology: natural corks without TCA*.

Once again, we have redefined quality by taking our natural corks to a higher level, thanks to the introduction of the second technology for extracting TCA and other off-aromas, PureCork.

The InnoCork Circuit is thus composed of two technologies - PureCork and InnoCork (introduced in 2007) - that are part of the production process and allow us to ensure that all natural cork stoppers are free of TCA and other off-flavors at no additional cost to our customers.

Each extraction technology is located at a different critical control point in the production line to ensure maximum efficiency, control and results.

* The corks have been shown to be free of TCA and other off-flavors in 99.85% of cases.

VAPEX

Granule cleaning technology for technical stoppers.

All the granulate used in the production of technical stoppers, 100% from our raw material, is submitted to the VAPEX process.
This is a treatment that extracts TCA molecules and other volatile compounds using steam under pressure.

This efficient batch treatment process guarantees a high sensorial uniformity of the granulate and allows traceability by batch.

100% INSPECTION (SINCE 2011)

In 2011, Cork Supply launched the industry's first natural cork stopper with no detectable TCA and an individual guarantee. 

The DS100 is a non-invasive, non-destructive analysis performed by a panel of highly specialized testers that guarantees the elimination of corks with sensory deviations including TCA.

100% of the corks are inspected to detect all sensory deviations, including TCA, using our non-destructive "dry maceration" method.
Every cork in a DS100 order is 100% inspected by 3 sensory experts in a sequential manner. If one of these three specialists detects a sensory deviation in a cork, it is rejected and removed from the batch of corks.  
As a sign of our commitment to our customers, we were the first company in the industry to offer a Bottle Buy Back guarantee.
